Wreck

1 min read
While driving home from work today, I got into my first major wreck. I was turning onto the interstate when I looked down for a second and saw the car in front of me stop suddenly. I stepped hard on the brake, but my car slid, and it hit the back end so hard my airbag activated. I was completely horrified by what happened, but I checked on the other party. Fortunately, they were unharmed. They were very nice and understanding. When the emergency crews arrived, we went through the procedures, and I was checked on by the ambulance. My folks eventually arrived and brought me home. So, my car is now totaled, and I have airbag burns on my right wrist. I'm still a bit shaken by the sudden accident, but I'm still alive and kicking. We're just waiting on insurance to take care of things. It will take me time to move on from this, but I'll manage. I might be made of sterner stuff than I think. But I am blessed to still be alive.

I have some sad news. At 6:00 am yesterday, my grandmother passed away peacefully. The memorial service takes place on Saturday at noon. Though I am sad, I am thankful that she lived a long and fruitful life and is at peace with God. Life is full of meetings and partings, births and passings. Yet it still goes on. I will miss her, but I will always remember her.

Personally, I haven't seen the show yet, but I do sympathize with the critics. I would prefer that Boba Fett would retain his reputation as the most feared bounty hunter as well as his ruthlessness in combat. However, allow me to remind you that in Return of the Jedi, he fell down a Sarlacc's gullet and spent who knows how long in its belly. Keep in mind that C-3PO said that in the Sarlacc's belly, "you would find a new definition of pain and suffering as you are slowly digested for over a thousand years." Sure, he managed to escape somehow, but surely you see where I'm going with this. Let us harken back to Bible. In the book of Jonah, because he disobeyed God, the titular prophet was swallowed by an enormous fish and spent three days and three nights in its stomach till he prayed to God. My point is that when you're
